This Privacy Policy explains how Tortuga: Sea Voyage ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. The short version is the whole version: we do not collect, store on our servers, or share any of your data. Everything you create in the app lives entirely on your own device.
1. Information We Collect
We collect nothing. The app has no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location. The itineraries, port dates, sea-day markers, embarkation times, shore-time settings, and packing checklists you enter are never gathered by us — they remain on your device and are visible only to you. We run no analytics and record no usage behavior.
2. How We Use Information
Because we never collect your information, there is nothing for us to use, read, analyze, profile, monetize, or sell. Every feature — route planning, sea-vs-port tracking, countdowns, the Shore Time gauge, and your checklist — runs entirely on-device, powered only by the information you choose to enter, for your eyes only.
3. Data Storage
All app data is saved locally in your device's own storage. There is no cloud account, no remote database, and no synchronization to outside servers. Nothing you create is uploaded or transmitted anywhere. Your voyage details stay put — even when you have no signal in the harbor.
4. Third-Party Services
The app integrates no third-party analytics, advertising networks, trackers, or marketing SDKs. We do not embed external services that would observe or report your activity. There are no hidden data partners — just the app and your device.
5. Data Security
Keeping everything local is itself our strongest safeguard: information that never travels cannot be intercepted in transit or exposed in a server breach. Your data is protected by your device's own security features, such as your passcode or biometric lock. We recommend keeping your device updated and secured.
6. Children's Privacy
Tortuga: Sea Voyage collects no personal information from anyone — and that includes children under the age of 13. Since no data is gathered from any user, the app is consistent with the spirit of COPPA and similar protections by design.
7. Your Control
You are always in full command of your information. Because everything is stored only on your device, you can remove all of it at any time simply by deleting the app. There are no server-side backups, no lingering accounts, and no copies held by us to request or erase — uninstalling the app removes its data completely.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements to the app or changes in legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date shown above. Our core commitment, however, will not change: your data stays on your device.
